The Federation of Liberian Communities in East Africa (FOLICEA) is pleased to announce the official appointment of its Central Summit Committee (CSC) to lead the planning, coordination, and successful execution of the FOLICEA Annual Summit 2026, which will be held in Nairobi, Kenya, from November 27–29, 2026.
Constituted in accordance with Article 16.5 of the FOLICEA Constitution, the Committee brings together experienced leaders from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda who will provide strategic direction and operational oversight for the Federation’s flagship annual event.
The Committee is chaired by Charles Sackie (Kenya), with Mabel Love Lewis (Uganda) serving as Co-Chairperson, alongside a dedicated team responsible for finance, programs, logistics, communications, protocol, partnerships, and advisory services.
The Central Summit Committee has been entrusted with:
- Planning and coordinating all Summit activities.
- Mobilizing resources and strategic partnerships.
- Overseeing logistics, communications, protocol, and participant welfare.
- Coordinating subcommittees and country representatives.
- Ensuring the successful delivery and evaluation of the 2026 Annual Summit.
As preparations officially begin, the Committee will work closely with member communities, development partners, sponsors, volunteers, and stakeholders across East Africa to deliver a Summit that reflects FOLICEA’s vision of unity, leadership, entrepreneurship, cultural heritage, youth empowerment, and sustainable development.
The FOLICEA Annual Summit 2026 is expected to bring together Liberians from across East Africa and the diaspora, alongside business leaders, professionals, students, development partners, and friends of Liberia for three days of networking, collaboration, and shared purpose.
